Washington DX

A long day: Boston in the AM to the Brickskeller in DC to end it for the night. An appropriate venue for a number of historical reasons. Brain addled, and something trying to crawl out of my large intestine. Important notes: Alt's Kennedy exhibit looks awesome. Finally got to meet Chris Mah who's there with Sanjeev and Dave. Chris manages to stoke my existing phobia of giant squid to a new level of terror. More and better pics later...

Alt's life story is being read by jillions of visitors on a column:

He pathetically lusts after that which he shall never have for his own:

Rog starts to shimmer after his 5th drink...

The other main reason to come to town: Ben's Chili Bowl. KICKS ASS.

Funny. Roger often sounds blurry, too.

ha! If you think squid are bad, you didn't even ASK about the terrible things that could crawl into (and out of ) your intestine! Intestinal parasites are awesome! :-)

Gads, what a night....still, all y'all old-timers REALLY need to come to the Bean and do shit right. Is a night that ends before 9:30AM really a complete night!?

sometimes I HATE being stuck on the left coast ... this isn't one of those times - my head and tummy are so very grateful.

The left coast has its pluses...if we were in San Francisco, finding dim sum is definitely easier (and earlier) than the late 11AM open time we found on Sunday. That said, their dim sum was pretty tasty.

Plus, as far as cities go, one doesn't find anime and antique or J-toys in WashDC very easily, if at all....

Interestingly, someone at work, asked me about the Jumbo Machinders and how much they were collectively worth-given that there were a fair number of security guards hanging around the cases. After adding all the jumbos up, even *I* was surprised at how much was under those plexiglass cases!!!
